Joce.&#160; I have a copy of the entry for Robert Gammon and Ann Dyer's marriage, banns were called on the
15th, 22nd and 29th June.&#160; Robert is described as a &quot;cordwainer&quot; and both are &quot;of this parish&quot;.&#160; Both
sign their names, but Robert signs his Gamon although it is spelt Gammon throughout the rest of the
entry.&#160; It is witnessed by Richard Dyer and John Webber.&#160; The later seems to have been some sort of
clerk, since he witnessed all marriages in 1794!&#160; Richard, I assume, was her father or brother but there is
no reference to a Robert or an actual address. There was a will for Robert Gamon FILE&#160; [no title] - ref.
1078/IRW/G/44&#160; - date: 1855. In the 1851 census a Robert Gammon is living as a widow, pauper and
visitor in Heanton Street.</span></font></div>
