Narrative
William was the first of Richard's family to migrate to North America. William came to PEI from England in 1830. William married an Island girl and lived in a house located between Weynonth and Hillsboro Streets on Grafton Street in Charlottetown, PEI, Canada. Richard and the rest of his family may have lived with William's family at that location until Richard purchased land on Meliville Road, PEI. William moved to Boston . After death of his wife, William moved back to PEI and lived with his sister Amelia. A William Cutliffe is listed as living in the household of Cudmore in the Census of 1891, as a Widower, age 90. It is uncertain where William is burried. Probably buried with other Cutcliffe's in PEI.

"William Henry Cutcliffe was born in England the eldest son. He came to P.E.I., Canada, in 1830 to prepare a home for his father, Richard. William left P.E.I. and settled in Boston but later left Boston (around 1881) and settled in Birmingham, Alabama." (This information has, since it's writing, been proven to be incorrect. William did not move to Birmingham, it was his son William M. Cutcliffe who moved to Birmingham around 1881.) "William married an Irish girl by the name of Mary McCartny and they had four sons and one daughter."
