Moved from Georgeham to Ilfracombe circa 1580. Asmon. granted 2 July 1630 to his son Charles, Archd. Ct. Barhstaple.
May have been born in 1550. Source for date and place of Christening, name of parents, date and place of marriage and name of spouse.
"Thomas Cutcliffe, eldest son of John Cutcliffe by Katherine Hext, bapt. 1547, was of Ilfradcomebe, and by deed of 23rd July, 13 Elizabeth (1575), in consideration of his then intended marriage (solemnized at Georgeham, 17 Sept. 1575) with Anne, daughter of Reynell of Holsworthy, co. Devon, (in the settlement described as "Anne Rennell, daughter of Jane Cutclif, widow, ") made a grant of portions of Damage Estate to John Newcourt the younger, gentleman, John Denys of Torrington, co. Devon, and Authur Reynell, upon trust, to secure the jointure of his intended wife. Thomas Cutcliffe, died 1628, and was buried at Ilfracombe on 15 Nov. and Anne, his widow, was also buried at Ilfracombe 12 July 1636. they had eleven children, five sons and six daughters."
