Stanley Cutcliffe, Transhiere Hotel, St James's Place, Ilfracombe spent 2 days in Ilfracombe Parish Church looking up family records for a Cutcliffe from America.. Mr. A.S. Cutcliffe, Ilfracombe. Bird watching articles Vol 11 or 66. Another source: Claire Mundy in a letter to Tom Cutcliffe dated March 28, 2000. Known as Stan and Frank, they owned a hotel in Ilfracombe. Prior to living in Ilfracombe, Alfred was on the Police Force in London. He was shell shocked in the First World War and was told that he must leave London. Alfred moved his family to Ilfracombe.
