<div align="left"><span style="font-size:12pt">William, together with his paarents and sisters, boarded the &quot;Admiral Boxer&quot;
in Liverpool and set sail for Australia on 3rd December 1856. The ship arrived
in the port of Geelong, Victoria on the 9th March 1857. According to the
shipping records, William could only read and not write. He was 14 years old
when he arrived and was coming to work for Mr. James Yeoman of East
Geelong. It is not known for how long or in what capacity, although it was not
long before he was farming in the Barrabool Hills with the rest of his family
