"The funeral of the late Mrs. Priscilla Hodgetts, widow of the late JohnHodgetts, took place at Ulverstone yesterday afternoon, the service beingconducted by the rector (Rev. J.C.Compton). The chief mourners were thedeceased's only son (Mr. P. Hodgetts), with whom she had resided for someyears; Mr. D. Hodgetts (grandson) and Messrs. S. and H. Hodgetts, ofRidgley, and Gunn's Plains respectively (nephews). the carriers wereMessrs. J. O'Donnell, p. Stott, B. Snooks and G. Singleton.
Deceased had been a widow for 14 years, and was born at Campbelltownnearly 85 years ago (should be about 93 years).
She came to the Coast with her husband some 30 years ago, and prior tothat resided at Campbelltown and Cressy. some six days prior to herdeath, she fell and sustained a broken left thigh, which injury broughtabout her demise.
